Expanding Free Tax Filing Nationwide
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05), Chair of the Regional Leadership Council, released the following statement today after the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced Direct File as a permanent free tax filing option, inviting all 50 states and DC for filing season 2025:
